Charlie Kirk's Left a Seed of Influence

Charlie fell as a soldier for Christ and conservatism, but not in vain! The seed of influence is sown even when a leader falls; the seed does not die.

Charlie Kirk was an anointed seed with a brilliant voice of truth for the Gospel of Christ. Charlie was being coached on the possibility of one day running for president. His influence was described as a combination of Billy Graham’s evangelistic clarity and Rush Limbaugh’s cultural commentary. This made him a significant threat to the left because he was winning the culture war on universities and colleges, where ultra-liberal, socialist, communist, anti-American, gender-dystopian, and antisemitic ideologies dominate. These ideologies present themselves as progressive, but in truth they are regressive, eroding the foundations of culture and people.

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8). And, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…” (Isaiah 5:20)

All assassinations—whether by a psychotic individual or a carefully orchestrated plan—serve two purposes: To kill a leader and to strike fear in their followers.

Beyond silencing a leader’s voice, assassination is meant to terrorize minds, spreading fear and stress among the people. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). SO,  “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

The seed of influence is sown even when a leader falls; however, the seed does not die.

As Charlie fell as a soldier for Christ and conservatism, a multitude of young voices will rise up on campuses across America, speaking out against the evil ideologies infecting young minds. “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (John 12:24).

In spite of everything and anything, the church must continue to stand, declaring truth with boldness whether they are evangelical dispensationalists or Pentecostal/charismatic continueationists, believers will be proclaiming a unified message: laws and politics can be righteous or unrighteous—even evil.

“But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men’” (Acts 5:29). “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Christians and conservatives are not stepping back. I pray that this tragedy will empower all believers to unite and strategically act to see truth, righteousness, and freedom restored in America.

“… Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men’” (Acts 5:29).

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance” (Psalm 33:12).

Go forth warriors of Christ!
